RIDGEVIEW
Background
Ridgeview Sparkling Wine is pioneering, premium and progressive. The brand started in the late 90s with a vineyard planted just south of the ridge of the South Downs by Mike Roberts, and has become so successful that it has been served by the King at State Banquets in recent years; in 2023 the brand, now run by the next generation of the Roberts family and led by his daughter Tamara, became the first British vineyard to be awarded B Corps status.
We have worked with Ridgeview since 2020.
Objectives
Broaden consumer awareness.
Insight
The category is often more formal than the audience; moments of celebration in life can be regular and small; Ridgeview’s founder and family enjoy a good party!
Strategy
Focus less on the big set-pieces of life (engagements, weddings and birthdays) and more on everyday wins.
Activities
Life is for Celebrating campaign:
- Product placement of Ridgeview’s award-winning sparkling wine across all key wine columns and wider lifestyle media opportunities. Leveraging key calendar dates like Harvest, brand news, seasonal gifting and launches, our press office continues to build awareness across all media, from the national wine pages to the shopping listings, regional news, broadcast and online, from the more in-depth/ corporate profile features to those all-important product placement slots.
- Attract visitors to their stunning site in the shadow of the South Downs to eat in their restaurants and take part in vineyard tours and tastings.
- Tell the corporate story of a successful female-run, B Corps certified family business creating English sparkling wine fit for the King (literally).
