Congratulations to Senior Account Director, Antonia Paget, who has achieved the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 2 Award in Wines.

Over six weeks, Antonia attended evening classes at the WSET School on Bermondsey Street, near London Bridge, building her knowledge of the world’s major wine regions, grape varieties and styles.

The internationally recognised qualification provides a strong foundation in wine, covering topics including viticulture, winemaking, food and wine pairing, storage and service, as well as how climate, grape variety and production methods influence the character and quality of wines.

As part of the course, Antonia developed her tasting skills using the WSET’s Systematic Approach to Tasting, learning to assess wines in a structured and consistent way, growing her understanding of what makes different wines distinctive.

The qualification is particularly relevant to Sunny Side Up’s work with clients in the food and drink sector, with the agency’s roster including Majestic Wine, the UK’s largest specialist wine retailer.

Antonia said: “Studying for the WSET Level 2 Award has been a ‘grape’ experience. It’s given me a much greater appreciation of the diversity of wine, from how it’s made to how different regions, climates and grape varieties shape what is in the glass.

“Looking forward to applying my new knowledge with equal gusto to my comms work with clients like Majestic, and to pairing wines at all my future dinner parties. It might even be time to host a dedicated Sunny Side Up wine tasting!”

Huge congrats again to Antonia on this fantastic achievement!
